Why We’re Making This Move

Novawerks was where we built strange ideas, community experiments, proof-of-concept tools, and research-driven projects. Some of those ideas became Nova Suite features. Some stayed in GitHub. Some sparked conversations. But over time, Novawerks became disconnected from the larger Nova Suite journey.

That’s why we’re evolving.

Nova Suite Labs will now serve as the official home for all exploratory, consumer-facing, and open-ended work related to Nova Suite. Everything we build in Labs is done with one purpose: to make Nova Suite better.

What Nova Suite Labs Will Do

Nova Suite Labs isn’t just a new name — it’s a new purpose.

This new division is where we’ll:

• 🧪 Develop experimental tools and early-stage concepts
• 🔓 Release open source packages and internal APIs
• 🔍 Conduct usability research and product behavior studies
• 🧰 Share community-facing utilities and add-ons
• 💡 Test features before they hit the mainstream Nova apps

Labs is not a side project. It’s a core part of how we imagine, prototype, and refine the Nova experience — built in the open, and always with intention.

What Happens to Novawerks?

All Novawerks repositories, documentation, and ongoing projects will either be:

• Fully migrated into the Nova Suite Labs environment
• Archived or sunset if they no longer serve our future goals
• Rebranded where appropriate to maintain clarity across our tooling

If you were tracking or contributing to a Novawerks project, you’ll soon see those repos updated with the new Labs identity and roadmap. Nothing valuable will be lost — it’s just evolving under one umbrella.
